The Future of Customer Acquisition Using AI: A Game-Changer for Businesses
In today’s fast-paced digital landscape, the future of customer acquisition using AI is more than just a trend—it’s a necessity. AI tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity are transforming how businesses identify and target new clients, helping them find opportunities that were previously unimaginable. As a business owner, I’ve experienced firsthand how using AI to find new opportunities has dramatically improved my booking process, saving me time and resources.
For years, I focused on a small pool of event venues and clients, but the future of customer acquisition using AI helped me think outside the box. Instead of manually searching through associations and databases, AI allowed me to generate comprehensive lists of potential clients and venues in just a few hours. With AI’s ability to streamline customer acquisition, I can now explore a wider range of opportunities, making the future of business growth more accessible than ever.
AI doesn’t just help businesses keep up—it helps them get ahead. As we look forward to the future of customer acquisition using AI, it’s clear that those who leverage these tools will have a significant edge over competitors still relying on traditional methods.
The power of AI to find new opportunities is changing the game for entrepreneurs and business owners everywhere.

When I’m not busy writing cool articles for AI Hacks for Moms or managing the beautiful chaos of being a mom of three, my husband and I run a live tour that travels across the United States. We perform at various venues, from speedways and fairs to casinos, motor parks, and lagoons. As you can imagine, booking these shows requires hours of research and organization.
In the past, I’d send out hundreds of flyers each year to potential clients. This process involved joining state or national associations just to access mailing lists, which, while effective, was incredibly time-consuming and costly. Then AI came along and changed the game.
AI Simplified My Booking Process
This year, I turned to Perplexity AI and ChatGPT to help compile listings of venues to contact for bookings. Here’s how each tool helped me streamline the process.
Perplexity AI: Great for Updated Info but Limited Formatting
I first started using Perplexity because it pulls the most up-to-date information from websites. It gave me a real-time look at event venues and their contact details. But there was one big limitation: Perplexity doesn’t allow for easy export into a table format or downloadable Excel file. Copy-pasting the data often resulted in long, unorganized columns.
ChatGPT: My Go-To for Organized, Clickable Data
That’s when I turned to ChatGPT (which I call ChatGDP for fun). While it doesn’t pull the most recent data like Perplexity, it could provide the information in a format that was much more usable. ChatGPT creates downloadable Excel tables with clickable links to the venues’ social media pages, saving me hours of manual searching.
With this method, I could quickly browse each venue’s past events and determine whether it was worth my time and effort to send them brochures. What normally took me months of research I now accomplish in a few hours!
Thinking Outside the Box with AI
One of the most surprising things AI has done for me is helping me think outside the box when it comes to business. When I first started using it, I gave it a simple, generic prompt:
“Write me a list of types of venues that hold outdoor events.”
Within seconds, ChatGPT gave me a list of 20 different types of venues (side note: notice it kept the list to 20, which is typical for ChatGPT). This list wasn’t limited to the types of venues I’d normally consider. It went beyond the fairs, festivals, and motor parks I’ve been targeting for years and included places like botanical gardens, historical landmarks, and corporate outdoor spaces.
For years, I’d been focusing on a small number of venue types because I simply never thought about exploring outside of that box. AI opened my eyes to a whole new set of possibilities I hadn’t even considered.
Pro tip: Don’t just jump into specific prompts. Use AI to brainstorm ideas and get a comprehensive list before narrowing down your options. Start with general questions to spark new ideas, and then get more specific once you know what direction you want to go.

How to Use AI to Create Lists Specific to Your Needs
Here’s a quick step-by-step guide on how you can use ChatGPT or other AI tools to generate the exact type of listings you need for your business:
1. Start with a general prompt: For example, “Provide a list of 20 event venues in California that have hosted outdoor festivals. Include venue names, locations, contact info, and social media links.”
2. Refine the results: If the information isn’t exactly what you need, adjust your prompt. You can ask for venues that host specific types of events, such as family-friendly, corporate, or sports-related, to narrow down the search.
3. Request a table format: To make the data usable, ask AI to organize the information in a table with columns like Venue Name, Location, Contact Information, and Social Media Links.
4. Download and use: If you need to download the list, ask ChatGPT to provide the data in a format that can be copied into Excel. From there, you can print it or use it digitally for easier access.
Prompts for Different Business Needs
If you’re looking for new clients, vendors, suppliers, or even job opportunities, AI can help you generate the right lists in no time. Here are a few types of prompts you can use, depending on what you need:
Prompts for Job Opportunities
• “Find companies in [City/State] hiring for [Job Title]. Include job postings, application links, and company websites.”
• “What are the top remote-friendly companies hiring in [Industry] for [Year]? Include links to current job listings.”
Prompts for New Clients or Leads
• “Provide a list of businesses in [City/State] that may need [your product/service] in the next 6 months. Include their websites and contact information.”
• “Find 20 local companies in [Industry] that are likely to need [specific service]. Include their contact info and social media links.”
Prompts for Event Venues
• “List 15 outdoor venues in [State] that host family-friendly events. Include venue names, locations, and contact details.”
• “Find event venues in [City] that regularly host corporate events. Provide links to their social media profiles and website contact forms.”
Prompts for Suppliers or Vendors
• “What are the top suppliers for [Product] in [Region]? Include their websites, minimum order requirements, and reviews.”
• “Find eco-friendly vendors in [Industry] for [Product Type]. Include contact information and customer feedback.”
By using AI to compile these types of listings, you’ll save time and get a comprehensive view of all your options, whether you’re looking for new business opportunities, partnerships, or suppliers.
